Seasonal Yard Waste
In additional to paid yard waste collection services, Waste Connections offers three free seasonal yard waste pickup days throughout the year.
For 2026, these dates are:
​April 15 | July 15 | October 21
Key Details
Pickup Frequency: Generally three times per year—once each in spring, summer, and fall.
Limitations: Usually limited to 10 bags (32 gallons each) or up to 300 gallons per collection, per the Saint Louis County Website (.gov).
Materials Accepted: Grass clippings, brush, and tree limbs (typically 6 inches diameter).
Requirements: Yard waste must be placed in compostable paper bags.
